What is the necessary document checklist for ACS Skill Assessment to get PR in 2022?

Australian Computer Society is the accessing authority for skilled migration to Australia. Skilled ICT professionals can migrate to Australia to work and live there with the Recognition of Prior Learning pathway. Applicants who do not have sufficient ICT background and those who are not from ICT background but have experience in the ICT field require an RPL report. As a skilled ICT professional, the Australian Computer Society (ACS) uses skill assessment to identify applicants from ICT fields who have the necessary skills, knowledge, and capabilities to migrate to Australia. Before writing an RPL report, applicants need to select the correct ANZSCO codes that is similar to their field of occupation. An applicant must select the appropriate ANZSCO code based on their qualifications. In order to be successful in your skill assessment, you need to make sure all the documents are in place before submitting the final draft. 

ACS Skill Assessment Pathways

The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the expert in charge of skilled migration assessments. A skill assessment will determine how good you are at your job. It assesses your skills and determines how good you are at them. As a result, experienced ICT professionals are willing to relocate permanently to Australia. To do so, they’ll need to have their qualifications and competencies evaluated by the ACS, which will make the process of obtaining a Visa go more smoothly. In general, ACS evaluates four types of applications for migration. Each of them has its own set of procedures for submitting an application for migration to Australia.

Temporary Graduate Subclass 485 Skill Assessment

A bachelor’s degree or higher-level education is required to qualify for the 485 visas. Firstly, you should apply for a skill assessment based on your qualifications and related ANZSCO codes. 

Post-Australian Study Assessment

A post-Australian study assessment is required for those who have graduated from an Australian institution and wish to apply for immigration purposes.

Skill Assessment

The assessment is directed on a global basis toward evaluating the attainment of ICT employment and ICT qualifications at tertiary levels.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you don’t have any ICT qualifications or don’t have enough, you’ll need to apply for RPL. Most importantly, you must have at least six years of experience working in the field of information technology. Candidates who do not qualify must also have two years of work experience (a total of eight years). They do not, however, have to work in the ICT industry.

Document Checklist for ACS Skill Assessment

1. Application Fee

Before submitting your application, make sure you have paid the correct fee. The Application Pricing List can be found in the Fees and Payments section. If you are a tax resident of Australia, the application fee includes GST.

2. Photograph

One recent passport-sized colour photograph is required. The photo must be taken within the last six months and be of good quality. Note that self-taken photos are not permitted.

3. Proof of Identity

You must provide a minimum of one primary document and two additional documents from the list below as proof of identity.

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Bio page of Passport
  3. National ID
  4. Driving License
  5. Social Security Card
  6. Marriage Certificate

4. Australian Visa

Make sure you have a photo of yourself on at least one of your documents. In addition, at least one of your ID documents must include your full name and date of birth.

To confirm that all of the provided information is accurate and correct, you must read and sign the Declaration on the application form. It also simplifies the evaluation process.

If you’ve asked an agent representative to act on your behalf, the declaration form must include their name, signature, and signing date.

5. Change of Name

You need to provide evidence for name changes if necessary to avoid inconsistencies in the documents. These documents provide the foundation of your identity.

6. Qualification Evidence

Your qualification proof consists of the academic transcripts showing your qualification award certificate.

7. Award Certificate

The award certificate is the official document that verifies the completion of a course of study for an award. Assume you haven’t yet received your certificate of completion. In that case, the awarding body will provide a provisional award certificate or an official statement of completion. The award certificate should be from a registered awarding institute. 

8. Academic Transcript

Applicants need to provide the overall academic documents to the evaluating authority. These are official records detail the courses/units of study you completed and the final grades you received as part of your academic qualification. Similarly, the award certificate must be provided by the awarding Institution allowed to award the qualifications if you attended a college affiliated with the awarding Institution.

If your transcripts are lacking in detail about the units of study you completed, be sure to include additional evidence, such as a syllabus, to supplement your information. In your CV, you can also include details about significant projects and other aspects of your studies.

9. Employment Evidence

Provide the overall academic documents to the evaluating authority. These are official records that detail the courses/units of study you completed and the final grades you received as part of your academic qualification. The award certificate must be provided by the awarding Institution allowed to award the qualifications if you attended a college affiliated with the awarding Institution.

10. Statutory Declarations and Affidavits

A significant legal professional in the country must properly complete the statutory Declaration. Furthermore, Candidates should seek legal advice as soon as possible.

Statutory Declarations include information that is absent in the applicant’s official documents, such as a description of the tasks performed during the employment period. You cannot judge skills evaluation on the basis of the content of a statutory declaration or affidavit. A statutory declaration will not suffice as proof of your employment dates, position, or payment. The official documentation is mainly used to store applicant’s related information.

11. Curriculum Vitae/ Resume

You must submit a CV if you are applying for a skill assessment. A resume is a collection of academic and work-related documents required for ACS skill evaluation, with an emphasis on your overall academic qualifications and course studies. It also includes examples of projects you’ve completed during that time. Overall, it is a personal account of your work history.
