In case Rajasthani Thali is your only concept about Jaipur Food, you must join us on this journey of Street Food in Jaipur.

Jaipur is a city of pink that is home to a range of street food that entices taste buds of all kinds.  I’ve compiled a short but carefully selected list of restaurants which make this list “ eat food At cafes in Jaipur

Kachori in Rawat Mishthan Bhandar

The first place to be listed and top of the charts is Rawat Misthan Bhandar. It is situated at Sindhi Camp, close to the bus station and railway station. The restaurant is known due to the Pyaj Kachori as well as Mawa Kachori.

The Pyaj Kachori is stuffed with sweet onions simmered in oil made of peanuts along with a mix of spices that gives the distinct aroma of garlic powder and red chilies. The onions that make up the kachori are so soft that you do not require saute or chutney to take pleasure in this Kachori. When I requested chutney the guy at the counter informed me that I would not require a chutney because the kachori will be succulent and moist.

Mawa Kachori is stuffed with nuts and khoya that are deep-fried before being drizzled with sweet syrup. It’s a must for anyone who loves Jaipur Food if you relish sweets. In addition to Pyaj & Mawa Kachori, Rawat is well-known due to the Ghewar and its various varieties.

Chai at Gulab Ji ki Chai

It is conveniently located on MI Route and right around at the intersection in Ganpati Plaza, you would be able to find Gulab Ji Ki Chai. The tiny tea shop opens in the early morning around 4:30 or 5:30 morning and serves delicious chai that is well-made. If you’re in the mood to a bite of food take a bite of the Bagua Makhan Samosa.

The proprietor of the shop is known for his generosity by offering bread butter and chai to those in need. I’m a big chai drinker and have tried the chai in a variety of places and I’m sure that Gulab Ji has the finest chai available within Jaipur town and is far superior to the tea shops with fancy names which have sprung up throughout the city.

Dal Kachori at Sodhani Sweets

The next stop we made was Sodhani Sweets situated in Main Tonk Road just a few minutes away to Rambagh Circle. This shop’s corner was filled with customers and is among the most famous Mithai Shops of Jaipur. On this visit, we focused less on mithais, but on the street foodoptions, specifically Dal Kachori and Mirchi Wada.

It is a delicious dish. Dal Kachori is filled with the urad daal which is cooked using spices and is flavored with asafetida. This gives the dish its distinctive flavor. The dish is served with sugary jaggery, and a dried ginger Chutney The kachori is a delightful snack.

It is Mirchi Wada is one of the local Jaipur dish where the cooked potatoes, which are seasoned by the dry spice the dhania (coriander) as well as black pepper, are wrapped with wax peppers, then coated in spiced gram flour batter and then deep-fried.

It is served along with the lassi and made in Kulhad and it makes an excellent breakfast. There are also Bread Pakoda Piaz Kachori and Samosa, and all of these have high praise. The best thing Sodhani Sweet provides is its soft Rasgulla. Made of fresh dumplings made of Chhena (cottage cheese) and then cooked in a sweet syrup comprised of sugar. Rasgullas at Sodhani’s are undoubtedly the most delicious dish from Jaipur Food to try.

Dal Cheela at Kalkatta Chaat Bhandar

After the courthouse In a by-lane known as Vaniki Marg there is in a small car with an advertisement that reads Kalkatta Chaat Bhandar.

It is always crowded with hungry and thirsty customers. the restaurant is a specialist on Dal Cheela (pancakes) as well as Dahi Wada. The distinctive feature of both products is the dal which is served with a variety of other ingredients that the cook did not divulge (as was expected). In contrast to the typical Urad dal that is husked Moong Dal made with skins are utilized, which gives the product an extremely distinctive texture and taste.

The enormous Dahi Wada comes served byDahi ,Sonth and a mixture of moth and black gram daal, which is sprinkled with cumin powder roasted. The Cheela served with paneer, comes alongside Sonth Chutney. two varieties of yogurt, an interestingly textured moth and black gram dal with a garlic and chili mint chutney. An all-inclusive meal in a combo, this restaurant is one you must not miss when you are in Jaipur.

Jalebi at Samrat

Samrat is a famous for its breakfast in the Jaipur city, situated in Chaura Rasta in the walled city, Samrat is a spot you shouldn’t miss since the little eatery will be crowded with customers in front of the door. It’s a place that is fun to be in and outside and enjoying the Samosa, Poha, Kachori, Chai and Lassi The menu listed above is highly recommended and offers an edge to the most popular shot eateries that serve these dishes.

My personal favourite here is the bread Pakora as well as Jalebi. Watch the magical process of Jalebis being cooked and simmered in Sheera. Have a snack and drink it all down with tea.

Another intriguing snack to try can be found in an interesting snack called Laccha Aloo ki Tikki, which is a refreshing change from the usual aloo Tikki.

Lassi at Lassiwala

When driving along the Main Street of Jaipur, MI road, as you pass through the Paanch Batti Crossing just just a few hundred metres to your left the well-known Lassiwala. Although many Lassiwalas are popping up within the vicinity however, their lassi is not more than a joke.

The shop opens at dawn. The shop closes by the time it closes at 4 or 5pm because at that point they have gone through their entire day’s production. The lassi can be purchased in two sizes and served with earthenware Kulhads. The lassi’s creamy texture is created from pure curd made from scratch. No water or ice is added to it. The drink is flavoured with Kewra water and is topped with Dahi malai. Drink a large one and you are almost guaranteed that you’ll skip the next meal. An absolute must when you visit Jaipur Street Food.

Falooda in Indian Ice-Cream

When you’re out and about shopping on Bapu Bazaar’s streets Bapu Bazaar, there a tiny gap within the wall with a name that reads “ Ice-cream Parlour In jaipur “. This is where you can get the finest Falooda available in Jaipur town. It’s Falooda (homemade vermicelli noodles), topped with some homemade Ice cream and with a spoonful of Rabri along with some rose water as well as the sweetened sherbet of roses. This tasty treat is a must if are a fan of sweets and are willing to eat having a few more calories every now and then.
